MySkillsSpace is about to gain another important feature. We are in the final stage of work on Specialist Teams - a solution that will allow several specialists to combine their expertise and operate together as one professional team.

If the final tests go as planned, the feature should be available this Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Not every service can be delivered by one person

From the beginning, MySkillsSpace has allowed specialists to present their experience, skills, portfolio and professional services. But some projects simply cannot be delivered credibly by one person alone.

A UX/UI Designer, Frontend Developer and Backend Developer can build a complete digital product together. Instead of presenting three separate offers, they will be able to create one team and offer one comprehensive service together.

How will it work?

Imagine three specialists:

Anna - Frontend Developer
Piotr - Backend Developer
Marta - UX Designer

Together, they can create Digital Product Team and then publish a shared service, for example:

"MVP application design and development".

Anyone viewing the offer will immediately see that the service is provided by a team, not by a single specialist.

What will Specialist Teams enable?

In the first version, a specialist will be able to:

  • create their own team,
  • invite other MySkillsSpace specialists,
  • accept and decline invitations,
  • manage team members,
  • assign basic team roles,
  • build a team profile,
  • present team members,
  • create services offered by the whole team,
  • publish those services in the existing marketplace,
  • clearly separate personal services from team services.

Personal or team service? It will always be clear

Joining a team will not change how an individual specialist profile works.

The same person will still be able to offer services personally while also belonging to one or more teams and publishing other services together with them.

Every offer will clearly show who the provider is - an individual specialist or a team.

A Team is not a company profile

This distinction matters. A Specialist Team will not be another type of Employer account or a company profile.

Employer remains a separate role in MySkillsSpace. A Team is a shared professional identity for several specialists who want to deliver specific services together.

This way, a person looking for a provider will always know whether they are dealing with an individual expert, a specialist team or an employer.

A dedicated space for every team

Each team will have its own lightweight space in MySkillsSpace. It will be possible to present the team name, a short description, logo, members and currently offered services.

We do not want to build another overloaded organization profile. The most important things remain the people, their expertise and what they can offer together.

Invitations and member management

The person who creates the team will become its owner and will be able to invite other specialists who use MySkillsSpace.

The invited person will decide whether to join. Team members will be able to have different roles and permissions, making responsibility for the team profile and its services clear.

Shared services without a separate marketplace

Team services will be part of the same service system already used by individual specialists.

There will be no separate marketplace for teams. The existing service space will include offers from both individual specialists and teams.

The difference will be visible directly on the offer - users will immediately see that the provider is, for example, Digital Product Team - 3 specialists.

Who actually delivers the service?

For team services, we also want to make it possible to indicate which specialists are involved in delivering a specific offer.

Not every team member needs to work on every project. This will help clients understand which expertise stands behind a particular service and who will actually deliver it.

Specialist privacy remains unchanged

Team membership will not bypass existing profile privacy settings.

If a specialist has limited the visibility of their surname, profile or other information, joining a team will not expose that information automatically.

The same applies to the Skills First approach - a team will not become another way to access information that a specialist does not want to make public.

From individual expertise to complete services

Teams are a natural extension of the direction in which we are developing MySkillsSpace.

It is not only about showing which technologies someone knows or which job titles they have held. What matters more is what they can actually do with those skills.

Sometimes the answer is a service delivered by one person. In other cases, it takes a UX Designer, Frontend Developer and Backend Developer working together. MySkillsSpace should make both situations clear and honest.

We are at the finish line

We are now completing implementation and testing of the full flow:

create team -> invite specialist -> join team -> manage members -> create shared service -> publish -> present the service and team in MySkillsSpace.

If the final verification goes as planned, Specialist Teams will be released this Sunday, August 30, 2026.
